I have been looking on paper at an older Morgan 28 or larger, or a Cape Dory 25 or larger. Any comments on these. By the way, I'm 5'11"+ and would like to know how important headroom is, should I go for that?

My Pearson Ariel was nearly the same Alberg designed full-keel hull as the Cape Dory. The main difference being the cabin top being a little higher (6'+ headroom). Wonderful boat, many have been used as small cruisers.
