We took our mini-Dachsund on our year long voyage Milwaukee to the Bahamas
with no problems and no regrets. In fact, we went ashore in a lot of places
we never would have without him (like the Georgia ICW swamp). The stroll
though the swamp at low tide was fascinating. Little dogs help you make
friends, too.

Subject: [world-cruising] bring the dog???
Tedybear, our 5 year old Samoyed is gentle, friendly with other people
and dogs and loves companionship. When he was a pup I would bring him
in my kayak which he enjoyed. Well that was about 60lbs ago and now
medium size 75lbs.
Any tips on bringing a dog along 2 - 7 day coastal cruising? Are
marinas receptive??? Is it worth the extra effort?
bess
