Seems we share some burden ;)

With the excuse of sending our daughter back to school I send my wife
home too, before entering the Red Sea. She joined in Athens again, but
she made it from Manila to Male! She was very brave as she loves
sailing at bft 0-1 and we run in an unpredicted tropical depression
    the very first night ;)

I like many of the french cats too, but with all their beautiful
interior some tend to be a bit heavy and pricey. You get what you pay
for, but someone was looking for a "cheap" cat. The Ausie have more
paint, less Rosewood inside. As I do not have enough money for the
boat I'd like, I must build it, my very first Ausie - btw, powered by
2 Inboard diesels. Performance? I'll tell you in two years

If you like Catana - you should not worry about Australian design as
the Catana 40 was a Lock Crowther design. Course, some evolution since
and Lock is not around any more.

There is a swiss guy on circumnavigation with a Catana 431, "Double
Magic". Beautiful hompage! But not so happy with some equipment of his
    yacht, Volvo for instance. http://www.doublemagic.ch

The sea is wide, our reasons and possibilities to go there are as
different as the boats we sail. I am just to lazy to sail and maintain
a beautiful old wooden schooner, so I stay with a modern cat ;-)

    Peter

Proa? Isn't that this floating object with two bows and no heck ;-))
