    David,

One must emigrate from somewhere, but one may immigrate to anywhere the laws allow. Thanks for your feeble attempt to flame me.

In a message dated 02/06/2005 20:14:36 GMT Daylight Time,
       writes:

James Baumgart wrote, in part: "I wish there was a way to leave
my US passport and the crazy laws, lawsuits, government and taxes of the US
well in my wake. Its impossible, you have to be a "number" in some nation."

Jim, perhaps the following will help.

      LO

      Main Entry: im·mi·grate
      Pronunciation: 'i-m&-"grAt
      Function: verb
      Inflected Form(s): -grat·ed; -grat·ing
Etymology: Latin immigratus, past participle of immigrare to remove, go in,
from in- + migrare to migrate

HO HUM i think you meant Emigrate as in to leave your country of origin -
Immigrate would be to come into the USA from abroad - and somehow i don't think
that was what he or you meant

OWELL you Americans never could understand or properly use the English
      language

      regards

      David
