<<A catamaran will withstand a great amount of wind - but when they are
blown over they *stay* blown over while a mono will right itself.>>
When a cat is blown over it floats! When a mono is blown over it sinks!!
When cats and monos have been in Tasman storms it has been the monos ( or
their liferafts) which have killed their crews!
Pick the type of boat you feel comfortable in, But I would far rather be
standing on the underside of a bridge deck. With orange non-slip paint of
course, than sitting in a liferaft watching my keel yacht heading for the
bottom.
