    I think several companies are working on this... one is Spheral Solar out of Canada. Here are a couple old article about it... the funny things is in the first one they even mention using it for sails....

        Hey, I just saw something that could be great for the sailing cruiser,
        someday. There is a company that has just created a solar fabric to be
        used by the military for tents and a more practical way to charge up
        laptops. I think that another useful application could be used as sails. I
        can't remember the name of the company but I'll post the websight on the
        links page when I can find it again.
