We have not done any world cruising and probably will not. I'm 67 and
Bob is 69 and he has had a heart attack (when we were in the Bahamas
at Shroud Cay) http://www12.virtualtourist.com/m/tt/2acc3/#TL and I
    also have some health problems.

From 1998 to 2000 we cruised in the Chesapeake, and then when we were
both retired, we did the ICW for three years from the Potomac to the
Dry Tortugas and two years out to the Bahamas, continuing to be in the
    Chesapeake in the summer.

Originally Bob wanted to go to Bermuda and down to the USVI, but I was
kind of scared to do that with just the 2 of us. We have gone
offshore up and down the US coast, but I'm not at all inclined to do
    any more than that now.

In any case, the boat was bought and outfitted (such as the SSB) so
that we could go offshore, but we hadn't gotten a liferaft or some
other things that were on the list (like we don't see any need to have
    a watermaker in the US).
