I have tile in my boat and love it. It is set in mastic on 1/4 inch
hard board (just as in a house application) that is screwed down to
1/2 inch plywood and then grouted as normal. the hard board is the
best idea because it will not take on moisture and is dementionaly
stable reguardless of moisture.
