    Let me guess. The only component other than the 2 float switches is a
    SCR transister, right? This is a very common circuit that has been in
    use for many decades. I even use it on my boat for a Hi-Low bilge pump
    controller.

    No. I thought about ussing a solid state design, but decided against it
    because I wanted it to be so that even folks with very little electronics
    experiance could understand it right away, and also relays are a bit more
    efficient and easier to get if needed. Also, I thought it might make the
    float switches last longer if they had less current flowing through
    them...they never seem to last more than a few years on my boat, (well, the
    mercury ones lasted...) this may change things.-Ken
