Hi Gail,
Sorry, I missed this one for some reason! LOL! ... I can't remember what
make the vacsealer is but it's pretty old - about 12 years ago we bought it.
It's not nearly as strong or versatile as the ones I've seen since then.
Good thinking about re-using the bags! And good point about the recycling
... but plastic is still far more damaging to the environment than glass. I
guess it's a tossup, and only practice will tell what suits me best!
Heartening to hear that the vac sealing is being used by others, though.
