This is the vacuum system I have, I don't think they sell them new
anymore. But I like it a lot. They do show up on EBay pretty
regularly.

It has the bag sealer which you can use with or without vacuum. If
you are vacuum sealing you insert the nozzle of the handheld thingy
into a receptacle on the sealer unit. There are also "corks" for wine
bottles that you can vacuum seal with this, as well as canisters and a
lid that works on coffee cans, etc.. The units are d/c powered,
using a/c adapters. I already packed this so I don't know the power
consumption. (Moving this week) Anyway, I think if I ever move
aboard it will be a big help.
