    The skipper I hired is a USCG licensed 100-ton master, with a lifetime
    of sailing experience and a circumnavigation to his credit, and he
    charged me $300/day plus expenses (we took 4 days to bring her down to
    MDR). I also got a quote from my sailing instructor for $2000 for the
    whole trip, plus expenses. It was pretty easy to tell my instructor
    "Thanks but no thanks." :)
