I haven't taken careful measurements, just glances at the ammeters from
time to time, but I get as much as 6.5 or 7 amps from my solar panels when
the sun's directly overhead. The output ramps up to that as the day
develops and ramps down from that as the afternoon progresses; I roughly
estimate I get 20-25 Ah/day from the solar panels. I have four old-school,
glass-in-a-frame Kyocera 75W panels, two mounted atop the bimini and two
atop the dodger (therefore I can't tip them back and forth to maintain
optimal angles to the sun). I'm at 20.7 deg N, 105.2 deg W.

My wind gen doesn't even spin until the wind gets up to 6 or 7 knots, so I
get nothing here in the marina. When I'm sailing or anchored out in
Banderas Bay it seems to produce around 4 amps in 10-15 kts of wind. Ah/day
would depend, of course, on the duration and speed of the wind. I don't
know the output curve of the wind gen (wind speed on the x axis, amps on
the y axis) or when the curve flattens out (I was too busy with other stuff
during some squalls and high winds last summer to be watching the ammeter).

If I were to replace or add to my present setup, I would _definitely_ go
with the flexible panels another poster mentioned. Someone I was talking
with the other day told me he had dropped winch handles on his flexy panels
    with no damage.

    Hope this helps. Cheers,
