According to a series of 'before and after' photos - front page Herald Tribune Jan 2 - the woman in blue swim suit running toward the wave and three of her children about to be engulfed by the surf all survived.

This is picture of a large sailboat that is caught on the inside of
the tsunami. It would appear that he made it past the first 10'
wave and is about to be hit by another 10-15 footer.
Be forwarned, the pictures shows people about to die. I can only
imagine what the people in the ofrground of the picture were
thinking. I can't imagine that any of them survived.
Please pray for all of the lost souls and those that are trying to
bring their lives together.
