Harry offers more great advice -- and speaking of research - when I sold my boat last May the buyer said he's looked at 3 other boats in a similar size - all priced about $2000 less than my price - the descriptions of the other boats all had good things and bad - and a couple were boats I would've traded *mine* for!! Like a inboard diesel engine! Anyway - when I was presented with the prices the others could be had for I felt I should accept his offer - and it negated my need to pay another $700 slip fee!

    Sincerely,
    Larry T ('74 911, '67 MGB, 27' Catalina (sold)

This is really good advice, the worst thing is to get a bad case of
"Boat Lust". Buy with your head not with your heart, and be patient.
Also research prices for the same model in Yachtworld to compare too.
