Hi everyone,
I joined this group today and I figure that I would introduce myself.
I am 48 love sailing and live in San Francisco. I sailed my last boat
"Tiger Beetle" to Mexico and the Sea of Cortez to see if I would like
the cruising lifestyle and while doing that I was kind of a commuter
cruiser by flying to my boat every chance I got and back when my
clients started to send me nasty e-mails.
I loved the cruising part (hated the going back to work part) but the
Newport 33 that I had was to small for my wife and I especially when
the kids joined us.
I decided to build a cruising catamaran and I have been doing that in
my spare time for the last two and a half years. The boat (Rotkat) is
starting to get there. she is completely build and I am now fairing
her in preparation for paint.There are a bunch of pictures on my
website http://www.rotkat.com but it is desperate need of updates so
the progress is a lot further than the website.
My long term cruising plans are to sail out under the Golden Gate
Bridge ,turn left and take it from there.
