Just my 2 cents worth:
- reading, nav class, ham license are all great.
But wait a while before buying any radio equipment.
- learn celestial once you're on the boat, if then.
- get SCUBA-certified in warm water.
- people told me to hire a mechanic for some
instruction on my actual engine after buying the
boat, instead of taking a class. I did neither.
- bluewater sailing class: not sure I'd pay much for one of these.
- start looking at tons of boats early, finding out
what's important to you, but buy a boat as last item.
Don't want to have the boat sitting for 6 months in
a slip while you're trying to sell house, quit job, etc.
Just my opinions.
Have you checked out my web site ?
