Thanks very much Dwight. Yep, sounds like the deal is the normal
cruiser's plan: Make no plan until see you the weather at that moment.
We'll build a couple of alternates (go straight, go high, go azores,
etc...) and then make the pick upon departure.
Yes, as soon as I get to the East Coast I plan to start monitoring Herb,
even if it's a few years early, just to start building some feel for it. I
have never sailed the Atlantic, have been on the Pacific most of my life.
