    Hi Shraga,

I saw your reply on Davids request. Hope you don't
mind me barging in like this. My wife and I, both 50,
have this dream of completing the refit of our
motorsailer and start the trip. Kids have flown out,
we sold our house and we live aboard our Reinke 15
since 2 years now. We plan on 2007/2008 for quitting
jobs and departure from the Netherlands.

What interests us most is the region Greece/Turkye and
most of all the south and west coast of Turkye.
We're thinking of staying there for a year, maybe two
and we hope to anchor out a lot. We are eager to
absorb all, even just slightly related info.

Can one anchor for a longer period of time and visit
villages to purchase food e.a. What are the pro's and
    con's of this?

Or is it better to use a slip in some marina as a
    "home-base"?

Are there still harbours/ports/marina's where one can
stay for a longer period of time where there are only
the basic provisions and where consequently prices are
    low ?

    Any "lowcostvoyaging" tips

What are your favourites in anchoring/visiting/
    maintenance/pilots/books etc?

Do you use marine nets to stay in touch with friends
    or with other yachties ?

Do you easily make contact with any local community ?

Well, I admit this is suffices as a first question...
Hope you won't feel "mugged" :)

    Greetings to you and yours,

    Janna and Len
