I too have been lurking here for a while. I've only had minimal
sailing experience over the
past few years and none at all in the recent past. This group has
been really inspirational
to me and my wife and we're going to be looking for a weekend boat
soon in the Oxnard/
Ventura area. Hopefully over thenext few years we'll be working on a
boat as retirement
home.
Someone posted a link to projectbluesphere.com recently and being the
obsessive-sailer-
wannabe that I am, I followed the link.
My god! What a great site. That someone with a film-making
background (I'm a film-
maker too) has gone out and produced a beautiful website with
video-logs that's
compelling and intelligently done is pure heaven to me. Following
him on his search for
the boat (turned out to be a 28' Westsail "SV Namaste"), re-fitting,
equipping and finally
the first stages of his circumnavigation I wasted the entire day
yersterday.
I suggest anyone here check it out.
Best wishes to you all....
