    I think they compare very favorably. Though I haven't sailed one, I know
    several owners; all are very happy with their boats. I'm aware of a few
    that have cruised extensively. As with any smaller boat, the major
    difference will be in capacity (fuel, water, general stores).

    Most of the Valiant 32s were built by Uniflite during the years when they
    were using "Hetron" resins, which caused the infamous blisters. If the
    boats you're considering were built between 1976-1981, they probably are
    affected. Keep in mind that the majority of boats built during these years
    have since been partially or completely repaired, so you might want to talk
    to the owner or broker about that.
