I studied log pages from classic sailing ships and modern yachts, and
developed the headings that best fit my use. The result was as follows:
Top portion of page is the Pre-Cruise section. It contains:
Date
Day of the Week
Time of Sunrise & Sunset for that day
Time and Height of tides for that day
Crew & Guests (names)
The next portion is underway. I have six columns:
Time - pre-filled with lines from 0700 - 2000
Speed - to note the speed currently being made
Course - to note the course currently being made
Wind Speed -
Wind Direction -
Remarks - nice and wide for all that other stuff, like sail changes, fish
caught, etc.
I attach a Word file for those that can receive it.
