I do the same on the boat as I do at home. Sheets, blanket, and/or
comforter as the temperature dictates.
I don't see any reason to be any less comfortable, just because it's a boat.
If I was packing it in, I'd use a sleeping bag because that gives the best
protection for the weight. But that's not the situation on the boat, as
weight is unimportant.
FWIW, we have a regular mattress as well. My wife tells me that's the best
improvement I've ever made to the boat. Since we'll be living aboard
starting next year, comfort is important.
