    Hi all,

I'm considering the purchase of an AIS-receiver.
When you're interested in my reasons visit
    www.aislive.com
After you register you can see why I think this a major improvement
of safety': it enables you to see all commercial ships on screen
with info like speed, course and call-sign. The bigchina-receiver is
    relatively cheap (380 usd).

Besides the extra vhf antenna I need the software to present the
info on my laptop. And finding reasonably priced software seems to
    become the bottleneck here...

    So....
Who has any experiences or even thoughts about what software to use?
Info about prices/functionality? Is anyone developing at this very
    moment?

    Regards,
    Len
