Hello Robert,
All I can say to re-enforce the positive aspects is that it is THE
BEST book on selecting an offshore yacht I have ever read, my
library is over 300 books for sailing alone, and this is now no. 1.
to give you an idea...
Olin Stephens on hull and general design (of sparkman n stephens no
less!)
Rod Stephens on Rigging
Bill Lapworth on construction and cockpit design, along with Jim
McCurdy.
also detailed chapters on seaworthy hull designs, interior design
and reliable and functional hardware by 11 other offshore veterans.
mind blowingly good stuff, i was totally impressed and it has
already earned a respected place on the revered bookshelf aboard.
no. 1. a truly excellent work.. sorry to enthuse so much, but... :-)
a total of 850 years and 3/4 of a million miles of experience...
details of the lessons learnt in 79 at fastnet etc etc....
WOW.. :-)
Along with Brian Toss on Rigging, its a sure thing, a must...
Do you get the impression I am severely impressed !!!..
Joe...
