    I have about 5 hp in my 15000 lb boat.

    The old rule of thumb used to be one hp per Thames Ton. I am running at
    about half of that, but I use the sails mostly. (Our admeasurement tonnage
    is 8 gross.)

    The Pardeys are running at zero HP per ton.
