Read Annie Hill's book which is called something like "Voyaging on a
Small Income". And the Pardey's don't even have an engine, let alone
refrigeration.
We actually have a dual 110 shore power and engine driven
refrigeration system. Everyone says that this won't work, and we do
have to be very careful with it. If we are at anchor or moored for a
long period, we have to run the engine twice a day for about 45
minutes per time. If we go for less than about a week it is too much
trouble to start it up and get it cold and we just use ice.
