Is Ingrid a Colin Archer design? Wd it have as stout a hull as the W-32?
I've always known that the W-32 is a dog in the water...

You could try an Ingrid. About the same amount of space (maybe a little
more) but hell of a lot better sailor, longer waterline, better handling in chop,
greater ultimate stability, goes upwind. It's a ketch, too, so handling all
that sail to move a 22,000# boat (W-32) or a 27,000# boat (Ingrid) is easier
    with the Ingrid.

btw, if you are planning on spending a hundred grand to buy a W-32 these
days, you are planning on buying at the very premium end of the market. That
better be one hell of a W-32.

Hello All ! .. :-) .. we are sure you have probably been verbally
beaten to death on the topic of the 'ideal' cruiser for 2..
worldwide intentions... but hey ! :-) .. why not go over it again
    for the 'newbies' ....

We have looked for 5 years, and decided on the W32 as the absolute
ideal in the areas of cost, comfort, space, ability... nothing comes
close to this for us.. (Don't get us wrong !.. if you know of a more
suited design in the sub 100k (usd) rate then please offer
    suggestions.. ).

The wessy look 'right'. has the perfect offshore cockpit (apart from
the flush deckers !), a great sail plan, has super historical and
empirical performance, great accommodation, and it 'talks the talk'
as well as 'walks the walk'..

Just a topic starter, but we HAVE got our hearts set on this design
and size as the ideal for US... would be interested in your
opinions... objective mainly, but subject to the obvious
    subjectiveness... :-)
