    I think the Men Against the Sea part gives a pretty good picture of
    the type of man Bligh probably was. I did some web searches after
    finishing the book and found that he was 'involved' in two other
    mutiny's, so he did have some personality problems! It's a great
    story, though, and I just found it absolutely amazing that he was
    able to get to a port and home to England under the circumstances.
    Then I realized that if he was a better manager, there was a good
    chance that they all would have been home a lot sooner and there
    would be no story.

    Pitcairn Island has it's own web site with some good information. No
    time to find the address right now - I'm in the middle of a
    conference. Just do a google search.
