Hi all, I emailed this list a while ago about sailing around the world. I'm
still looking to do it but open to joining a boat for just about any plan
whatever they have, I'm living and working in NYC now and want to be outa here,
on the water before January. I'm willing to fly to whereever I need to but it's
proving to be more difficult than I thought to find the right boat. I'm not any
expert but do have most sailing basics down.
I'm considering signing up for membership to www.sailopo.com. Has anyone here
dealt with them? It costs $200 for the year, that seems pretty steep and it
seems like most of what they offer is opportunities to do deliveries - not that
I wouldn't like to but I'm just not sure I want to spend $200 for a couple of 3
day cruising possibilities.
Any ideas, recommendations for or against using that site or any other would be
much appreciated. I'm already on the cruiserlog forum, crewfile, 7knots, and
sailnet bulletin boards. And have emailed a spoken to a number of captains
through those site however very few are near me.
Thanks for your help.
Jordan
