You might consider the Kelly Peterson 44, a center cockpit boat, quite
sturdy and reasonably fast and comfortable. Strong owner's group. Designed by
racer, Doug Peterson, it is a cruising boat that handles very well. About 300
of them out there cruising. Bluewater Sailing Article

There have been some clones, the most well known is a Formosa 46 and there
are lots of them around too. Hull design is same but streached a couple of
feet. _www.sailredwings.com_ (http://www.sailredwings.com) is great site from
owners who sailed it from Hong Kong to Maine.
