Some new thoughts have emerged with the new links; the
Vagabond 39 and the Landfall 39 are interesting. The
westsail 32 is a bit small and the layout isn't
usually as modern as boats such as the HC. the real
"killer" for the W32 though is the tiller vs the
wheel. We really want the wheel. Haven't seen a CSY
but would really like the double end.

The pilothouse is a real plus. We have been planning
to build a hard dodger on any boat we get. The
pilothouse would mean that would not be necessary.

Another plus is the cost. The HC33 is about the cost
of the 39's in the newer links. More than some of the
others being considered. Still, there is "something"
about the HC line that is just facinating to me/us.
Can't exactly put a finger on what it is though.

Don't want to buy more than we can maintain or sail by
ourselves as we age (Late 50's/early 60's at present).
Initially, we could be cruising on about $12 to 15K
annually with that going up as we age into SS. Also
initially it would be coastal cruising on weekends and
holidays/vacations, getting to know all about the boat
and what she will do and won't do.

There have recently been more and more days when we
can almost see and feel the deck roll a bit and sails
pulling while just sitting in the living room, etc.
Guess there is some urgency; at least in our minds.
