    Hello James.
Many thanks for the reply, I managed to find the group.. great stuff.
Jayne and I don't want to use slips at at all if we can avoid it so
no problems on the bowsprit however long it is. The size of the boat
has many advantages to us, ie - it has generally lower 'running'
    costs than a 40 (or indeed 36 or 37).
If you can find me a boat in that size range though, with at least
the following, I would certainly take a look.

Small, well drained cockpit - or none - as per Colvin's Gazelle.
    Cutter rig if possible.
    Extremely well built hull.
    Medium thin water capabilities.
Ability to dry against a wall or be 'legged'
    Good anchor woring area.
Easy to manage sails and rig for single handed (although 2 of us are
to be on the boat, obviously a lot of the time will be single handed
    due to watch duty)
Full keel, or cut away fore
Preferably prop accessible easilly in the water, and transom mounted
    rudder.
Bags of storage and plenty of strategic handholds.
    Proven history.
Good 'back yard' - ie - plenty of deck area to work and play.
and, most importantly :-) .. it looks right ! :-)

    Joe n Jayne
