    Rosalie, every item I mentioned was in response to your assertion that
    maintenance and installation of solar panels were unimportant. None of the
    discussion was about the merits of getting a solar panel or not.

    I suspect that the majority of cruisers who purchase solar panels do believe
    that their maintenance and installation *is* an important consideration. As
    it is with virtually every piece of gear one adds to a boat.
