In general, we don't use backpacks. I know that's what the younger
set does, but we just don't. I am not sure if it is because we never
have or not. We don't have any, and it never occurs to us.

I'm also not sure if I would be able to do it if I tried as I have
arthritis in my back. I think a scooter might be difficult for me to
use as I can't stand for very long. I can walk or I can sit. I'm not
sure whether scooting would be as bad as just standing still.

For a propane bottle we do it when we have a car or a rental car if
it's too far to carry it on our luggage cart. We did give someone a
lift in a golf cart in Elizabeth City when they were lugging their
bottle back to their dinghy (walking)

Well Bob uses his bike way more than I use mine and without me along.
You might only need one. It's not an all or nothing thing you know.
The other two could use the scooters.
