I'll be doing something like that as well. I remember when I first learned how to do that, and its still something I really enjoy doing. Then they'll be able to roll up their charts and save them as mementos of their journeys. At what age did you start sailing with your kids?

One of the cool things I had my kids do on our cruise was make their own
chart of the places we've been (once we crossed the Gulf Stream). I helped
them rough in the major islands and they plotted our course.
