    To throw my 2 cents worth in:

    - I don't like those all-in-one inverter / regulator / chargers.
    Anything goes wrong with that one box, and your whole
    electrical life is dead.

    - Engine-driven refrigeration: you have to be aboard every
    day and run the engine every day, or you lose your food.
    I'd go with 12-volt refrigeraton and solar panels.

    - Watermaker: seems like a lot of fiddling and a lot
    of expensive filters. Depends how big your tanks
    are and where you want to cruise, I guess. Don't see
    a need for it in the USA and Caribbean.
