Try Robert White Instruments in Boston. They were still servicing a variety
of logs as of a couple years ago.
Sad, but true: Most good, working logs for sale these days are being
marketed as "nautical antiques." Apparently, the number of people displaying
'em on the mantel has grossly outpaced the number of people streaming 'em
over the stern! If you find your model, you'll have to buy the whole thing
just to get the replacement bracket you need, but if it's a valuable
instrument to you, having a spare for parts or replacement would be worth
it.
