[world-cruising] Are West Marine Brand products of decent quality?

Has anyone had any experience with West Marine branded products?

I need to purchase a variety of marine items. I don't care much
about name brands, but I do want quality. For instance, I looked at
a set of foul weather gear from West, and it didn't look too bad.

Has anyone had any experiences with West branded products?
