    Hi Jorden

When my son wanted to do the same as you he flew to
Rio meet the boats completing the Cope Town to Rio
race. He then picked up several delivery trips from
Rio to USA and Europe (France Italy and U.K.) He then
got a birth on one of those boats for the Europa
    Around the World Rally

Other friends also picked up crew positions on Around
the worlds rallies by being at one of there ports of
call like Canaries Ils or Panama because there is
often a spill out of crew who cannot get on with
    theire skippers.

It is important to funds so you can sail home from
which ever port you get kicked off at. It is not
uncommon for crew disagreements to occur. My son had
an around the world air ticket with him just in case.
His boat started in Europa (Spain) and withdrew in
    Australia.
He did not need the air ticket to come home.
