I have been working and living in NYC for the past few years and yes, I've had
enough city life to last me a while. So I'm looking to leave after this summer.
I've been all over the web on different crew finding/matching websites looking
for a boat to get on that is planning on sailing around the world, or just go
island hopping in the Carribean or South Pacific or something along those
lines. Anyone have any suggestions for more places to look, or maybe a good
website you know of that worked for you... or maybe you are about to do
something like that and looking for more people to join you? I've emailed a few
captains and there might be some possibilities but I'd love to hear any
information, suggestions or ideas you might have.
To be more specific, I'm not looking for a paid position, I have all the basic
skills but not much experience. I have a CYA Basic Cruising certification and
used to teach sailing to kids over the summer (on small boats).
Thanks
Jordan
