Start with the correct spelling for the title, "Lord Mayor Of Falmouth". I
don't know if my spelling or my typing is worse. When I got to Falmouth
England on my first trans-atlantic the town put out the red carpet and the
Lord Mayor had a reception at Town Hall. I signed the towns guest book.
After 59 days at sea in a 22' Sea Sprite I was made to feel very welcome and
enjoyed the press coverage of my landing. At the time I think that my
crossing was by the youngest person to single-hand it. Bob Manry's name had
come up in some of the press interviews that I did, so the Mayor made it a
point to show me where Bob had signed the book after his trip in his 13' Old
Town named Tinkerbelle. I had the Mayor sign my copy of Bob's book,
Tinkerbelle. That book was destroyed when I rolled my Chance 30-30 over in a
storm some years later when I was 550 miles east of Puerto Rico.
All the best
