lady domina, a 75´sloop, norwegian flag, currently located in
cartagena columbia, is looking for crew. plans are to sail from
cartagena to jamaica, cuba, mexico, guatemala and beyond. round the
world eventually.
this is not a paid crew job, you will be expected to share some of
the costs, $300 to $500 (US dollars) per month. the captain says he
preffers young people, with willing hearts and minds. experience can
be aquired along the way.
i have met the captain, seen the boat, and honestly, i would jump on
this opportunity. the only reason i dont sign on is because i am
quite content aboard naga, with captain jack, and our current
adventure is totally satisfying to me.
the captain of lady domina is ivan, you can e mail him at
us citizens concerned about the cuba visit-
your passport will NOT be stamped.
from what i know of him, this is no "captain awful." he seems
inteligent and friendly, and experienced. the boat seems well
equipped and safe, although very very big. however, this is no luxury
yacht, its a working sailboat with rough edges, so dont expect to
shine the stainless or polish the teak.
