The cruisers I know in the Caribbean would agree 100% with your choice.
Four-strokes are still very limited outside of the US. Yamaha engines have
a great rep and an excellent service network.

I have a four-stroke Yamaha 15. A cruising friend of mine gave me the
telephone number of a dealer in Puerto Rico who he guaranteed would sell me
the engine at a price I couldn't beat. I called that dealer. Our
conversation was very brief, because he didn't sell four-strokes; only two
    stroke engines.

I'm very pleased with my choice. The reality is that in the Caribbean, that
    engine is very rare.
