Care to share what size/type of cat you are looking for? I have been shopping for some time now and would like to share notes with you if our interest are fairly close. I've been in the Fort Lauderdale / Miami area for a couple of years now planning my sea adventure.

The gun issue is an interesting one, but most discussion groups avoid it since it is so polarizing and in the end there is no clear cut answer. I am pondering the question myself.

Just got back from ski county. I noticed there were some good responses to you on the inflatable tanks and water tanks, so I'll skip all that. Besides, they are all over the internet if you decide on one. I'm planning my route to far away places now. I'am going to Lauderdale the end of the week since we have a three day weekend. From what I hear, Lauderdate is the Mecca for Cats. I hope to come back with at least the beginnings of a deal. Anyway, I'm on target for hauling anchor by the end of the year. I won't bore you and everyone else with the details, but I'm planning on wintering in Barbados and then heading west.

By the way, all those messages about piracy are making me think its time to look at a pistol!! Ya'll are scaring this old man.

Talk to you later. Got to do some work once in awhile!!!!!!!!!.

    circumnavigation route.

Heheh. A little early for that. I don't yet own a boat, and I've
only learned to sail within the last year.

Don't worry. I'm sure I'll figure out my route before I go, which
will be in the next 3-4 years. I expect it will take me that long to
    (a) gain enough experience to feel confident about my abilities and
    (b) outfit the boat!
