    Rick,

    I think that the threads that you have read will suggest that it is very rare to be attacked by pirates. The most likely time is if you decide to anchor in a secluded bay of some remote island. The best action is to remain offshore round any remote islands and restrict any visits either to well established marinas or to fairly substantial ports.

    I would not worry about pirates. Just enjoy a splendid cruise.
