    Yep, it can. Head hunters killed and ate one of the Rockefeller brothers in
    New Guinea, too. But being boarded and killed is more likely to happen to
    you in any US city than while cruising, particularly if you use a bit of
    common sense.

    The point is that "pirates" rate way down my list of things to worry about
    on a cruise behind storms, half submerged containers, sleeping whales,
    uncharted rocks and reefs, mistakes in navigation, rigging failure, fire and
    propane explosion. Not to mention typhoid, malaria, and corrupt government
    officials.
