Sailnet has some boat specific email discussion forums that are well
    attended (http://members.sailnet.com/email_lists/index.cfm) and you can
get as much info as you want about there. Hope this helps.

    Hi all

I am interested in buying a 40'+ sailboat in USA to sail back to
Australia . This time in an aft cabin ketch with a draft near 6'. I did
the trip in 1997 in a Irwin Citation 39.
I have seen several Gulfstar 41s for sale on the Internet at prices
around $50K (USD). However I have seen a couple of Pearson 41s (ie.
    419s) but at around $80K
Can anyone comment on the relative merits of these two designs

    Regards

    Barry
