    Offshore either boat is a boat. Personally, as one who once owned a Westley
    22, I think is far better suited to actually being offshore, but certainly is
    smaller. But truth be known, I wouldn't pay more than two grand for a Westley
    22 in good shape with an excellent engine, nor more than $3,200 for an even
    better Catalina 27 with an even better outboard, while I am not sure that a
    Catalina 27 with an inboard is something I would want to own for more than $2,000
    askin'.

    The Catalina 27 has more space inside, while the Westley 22 is a SAILboat.
    Crossing the Atlantic I would do FAR more thorough weather planning with
    Catalina, particularly as to months to leave, than I would with the Westerly.
