I can sympathize and empathize with what has been said here re: the
current state of health care here in the U.S., the lack of affordable
care for most but the wealthy and those employed where the employer
is paying a large share of the the bill, and that the situation has
been brought about by our own government both now and hundreds of
years ago. We can't change history and only by voting and making our
voices heard to our elected representative can we change the present.
However, politics is not our purpose here. We are now getting off the
topic about cruising medical insurance and health care affecting the
cruiser world wide.
To date, I think we have only heard about insurance in the U.S. plus
a little about some experiences in the other parts of the world in
general. Great information and information I have filed away for
future use as I am sure others have also. I, and I think many of us,
would welcome more information from residents of other countries as
to how their system of insurance and health care affects the cruisers
that come to their country. Please post. This is not a U.S. only list
nor a U.S. only world. Cruisers do not just come from the U.S. nor do
we only go to the U.S. We welcome your information and request that
if you have information that you share it too.
We are now straying dangerously close to politics and bashing; not
what we are here for. At this time, it is time to step in and insist
that we either get back on subject or start a new thread. Thanks for
all the information and comment on this thread. It has been
informative and enlightening.
